Alleged Failure Of US Intelligence

The gathering, processing, and analyzing national security information from around the world and now from inside the USA,  by US intelligence agencies, may have resulted in a colossal failure that is damaging this country.

These alleged errors may have resulted from always looking outward from the United States for government agencies to investigate.  Not until Donald Trump and actors that seem to surround him, such as Michael Flynn, Paul Manafort, Rick Gates has the intelligence situation changes so much, so fast, for the United States.

Trump just may have created a new land bridge between the United States and Russia that the intelligence community are too stupid or timid or are politically influenced to examine.

Robert Mueller’s investigation:

Mueller was instructed to conduct a narrow, fact-based criminal investigation.  The Justice Department directed Mueller to limit his probe to individuals who were reasonably suspected of committing crimes which seemed to shut down any meaningful look into Trump having ties with Russia.  Mueller also failed in these areas:

  • Failed to examine Trump’s past history.
  • Failed to examine Trump’s personal finances.
  • Failed to get hold of and examine Trump’s tax records.
  • Declined to issue a grand-jury subpoena for Trump’s testimony.
  • Excluded from his report, a conclusion that Trump had committed crimes. 

Robert Mueller’s investigation may be seen as a growing perceived failure as the United States is seen splitting apart over lies and truth.

The Intelligence community should start reading some good books on the subject of Trump’s ties with Russia.  

Here is a list if they are interested:

Peter Strzok, former deputy of the FBI counterintelligence division came out with a book “Compromised: Counterintelligence and the Threat of Donald J. Trump”.  Strzok argues that Trump is compromised and doing Russia’s bidding.

Journalist Craig Unger, in his book, American Kompromat, sort of outlines when and how Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset over 40 years.

Questions: 

  • Why is it that there are so many concerns by some high level intelligence people that the Russians control Trump? 
  • Why is it that the first impeachment trial of Trump conducted by Mueller was moved away from investigating Trump in more detail?
  • Why is it that now there is a journalist, Craig Unger, in his book, American Kompromat  presents a sort of outlines when and how Donald Trump was cultivated as a Russian asset over 40 years.

As an alleged result from the apparent intelligence agencies being asleep at the wheel, the United States has slid toward being a backward nation:

1. Out-of-control U.S. fiscal and monetary policies

2. The rise of the police state

3. An inadequate and ineffective health care system

4. A rapidly degrading environment

5. A deteriorating infrastructure.

My point:  If we find, at some point, that Trump was indeed a Russian asset, then it seems there was gross negligence by US intelligence agencies as shown next:  United States Intelligence Community

There should be accountability for individuals and agencies who may have failed the American people.  There should be some drastic action for change in the intelligence agencies such as rectification and possible systemic change that should take place in our intelligence agencies so this alleged screw up does not happen again.

A possible reason that the intelligence agencies may have backed away from revealing a tie between an Republican President and Russia is due to this: The Republican Crime Syndicate Takes Control.

NOTE:  I am not a doctor.  The information I share with you is an honest explanation of my health situation which may be different than yours.  I only present my solution for you to examine in case any of my actions help you.  Take care and good luck.

Problem #1

I started to get some pretty sever foot pain.   My age?  I am in my late 70’s.  This foot pain came on rather quickly, within a few days. I could not figure out what may have caused it.  My wife said that I might have gout.  I also mentioned this problem to a good friend and he said I should watch Dr. Berg’s YouTube videos for this problem which I did.

Please note that Dr. Berg has a number of YouTube videos covering gout.  I have never viewed any other videos than the one I am showing here.

At the very end of Dr. Berg’s video he states that cherries are really good for gout but no one knows why.  I immediately dashed over to my local Albertsons grocery store and purchased almost all of their tart cherry juice.  The label on this juice did list other ingredients, which I was not happy about.  I started drinking this tart cherry juice from Albertsons and the foot pain went away!  I was all in for drinking a lot of cherry juice every day.  I found a better cherry juice product, I believe, at Trader Joe’s because the ingredient label show noting else but cherry juice and looking at the glass bottle the juice comes in shows juice sediment at the bottom which really tells me this is a better product.  You have to remember to shake the bottle before use.  I now noticed that the foot pain completely disappeared from my right foot but my left foot would hurt if I failed to drink enough juice.  

I then texted my Kaiser primary care physician about having this problem and she scheduled a blood test to measure how much uric acid I have in my body.  I now realize that I failed to properly prepare for the test because I had my blood drawn when my feet were completely free from pain.  I should not have taken the tart cherry juice, for a few days so my feet reached a high pain level and then I would go in for the blood test.  It is my belief that drinking the juice my blood test came back normal.  My doctor then sent me this message:

“I will prescribe ibuprofen. I don’t think you have gout but it helps with gout and any inflammation on your foot.”

When I picked up my medication it showed:

“ibuprofen 600 mg tablet generic for Motrin.   You can take this tablet once every 8 hours.”

I found that this pill did work perfectly for about 2 to 3 hours or more when I go out for a 4 mile walk.  It is the long walking that causes the foot pain.  The short steps in the house does not seem to cause much pain so I only take the ibuprofen about a half hour before my morning walk and I am ok for the whole day.

Problem #2

When this foot problem started I started taking cherry juice as a solution.  I then began having intestinal gas which resulted in more frequent trips to the bathroom.  I had no idea why this started.  I sent my doctor that I now have this new problem.

My doctor sent me back this message to help get rid of my intestinal gas.  Look closely at the list below.  I darkened one item that was the actual cause of my gas problem.

 

“For gas, avoid the following foods:

Lactose rich foods: ice cream, milk, cottage cheese.

Avoid honey, bbq sauce, apple, pear, mango, cherries, watermelon papaya

Avoid wheat (white bread, pasta pastries cookies)

Avoid onion artichokes

Avoid soy beans chickpeas, black eye peas lentils broccoli cabbage brussel sprouts

Peaches, apricots, plums and berries.”

Please note that “cherries” was listed in the list from my doctor.  So, I quickly stopped drinking the tart cherry juice and relied only on the ibuprofen and all is good – finally.  So, I found out that both cherry juice and ibuprofen solve my foot pain.  I have the option to take one or the other but cherry juice causes intestinal gas.

Caution:

But, what to do with all that cherry juice?  A friend told me that you should not take any pain killers prior to getting you Covid-19 vaccine shot.  He then sent me this web site link to prove his point:

VERIFY: Ibuprofen/Acetaminophen should be avoided before getting vaccine, but OK afterward

Ok, prior to my receiving my Covid-19 shot I will NOT take any ibuprofen but drink my tart cherry juice.   I should then be ok for getting a much better immune response against Covid-19 for using my cherry juice and NOT take any of the following pain killers:

  1. aspirin
  2. ibuprofen (Motrin)
  3. aspirinibuprofen (Advil)
  4. acetaminophen (Tylenol)

 

My scheduled appointment with my medical group, to get my shot, is not for another 45 days.  A nurse called me to give me a tip to call every morning to see if anyone cancels their appointment.  She told me she had an appointment open today but the person needed to be at the clinic within 30 minutes.  I will call every day but that means I just might have to drink cherry juice for as many as 45 more days if I am not lucky to get a shot sooner.

At times I feel that I am living in some weird world probably due to the Covid virus.  Following are some examples:

Example 2:

I have tried to get a Coronavirus shot for weeks.  I am in category 1B.  I belong to a very reputable and large medical plan that has near by medical offices and hospitals.  Their website for weeks has shown that they are only inoculating people that are in category 1A: 

  • Healthcare workers
  • Long-term care residents1

My wife and I walk almost 4 miles every morning.  We stop to talk to people along our route and yesterday a person told us that another large hospital close to use was taking walk-ins, meaning anyone for inoculation.

I called the hospital help line and was told that they are taking walk in but that day they ran out.  I was told that people are arriving as early as 6 am in the morning and maybe I should also.

I called the next day real early the hospital help line and was told that you have to be a member of their health plan.  That is weird.  That is not what I was told yesterday.  I checked my cell phone log and I had dialed the same phone number both times.

The next day, I decided to drive to the hospital to check out the possibilities.  I arrived at about 9 am and as I drove into the parking lot for the inoculations, there were three men in a group waiting for each car to arrive.  I was told that I was number 14 “walk in” and was told to park my car.  After parking my car, I walked up to that hospital entrance which had about 5 people ahead of me and when my turn came, I was met by an elderly women working the entrance.  I told her that I was not part of their medical plan but told her my plan’s name.  She said that her mother has the same plan as mine and got her shot already.  I got the distinct impression that I did not have to belong to their health plan because all the people who were in front of me were allowed to go in with no problem.  I decided to leave and try to text may primary care physician to see if I could get my shot.  I would return again to this hospital if my paid plan failed me.

It seems that coronavirus speed of delivery and organization process of that delivery is not what we normally expect in the United States.

At times I feel that I am living in some weird world probably due to the Covid virus, or maybe not.  Following are some examples. 

Example 1:

I have a stock certificate that proves that I own 15 shares of a particular bank stock.  A different company sent me a letter indicating they will hold the certificate for me at no cost to best protect proof that I own that stock.  I called the bank investment information number and talked to a rather terrific man who confirmed that it was best to not keep the certificate in a desk drawer but put it into a fire proof safe or send the certificate to the company that offers to hold it.  But, he warned me that if the sending process was flawed, I could loose the investment.  He also suggested that I contact my brokerage firm to see if I could hand the certificate over to them in person.  I called my broker that day and was put on hold for 45 minutes before I hung up the phone at 5 pm.  On day two I called the brokerage firm again and this time I had to log in using my account login.  But the login failed to accept my password which I believe I entered accurately.  The cell phone web site allowed my to enter which was weird.  After waiting for someone to come on the line to talk, I decided to drive to the firm’s local office.  I arrive within about 15 minutes, all the while monitoring my cell phone.  The local brokerage firm only allows one person in at a time and someone is already inside talking to a large computer screen.  No other humane being is inside the brokerage firm office except one single customer carrying on a conversation with a person seen on the large computer screen.  Weird.  I have to wait outside the office to allow the person already inside to finish his conversation and leave.  I had to wait about 10 minutes.  Once inside I  told the person seen in the computer screen that I was on hold calling his company and no one answered and looking at my watch it just then showed one hour.  I hung up my phone and then explained that I needed some advice as to how to transfer my stock certificate into their system.  The man in the computer’s answer was to give me another phone number to call.  I then get an email that “Your password was blocked on 1/28/2021 at 5:46 p.m. Eastern time. You can reset your password on our website by visiting Customer Service and selecting “I’m having trouble logging in.””  I find this simply incredible if not profoundly incompetent.

Sedition Of January 6, 2021 – Some Surprising Issues Revealed

As a United States citizen and trying to follow the news closely, I have been somewhat shocked to witness a very large number of apparent quick changes in what has taken place in the past 5 years when measured to the new direction that the United States is taking with the recent appointment of Joe Biden in 2021 as US President.  I decided to try to list all the switch backs and turns, that in my mind, really show themselves and there are quite a few.  I think this is a personal effort to first understand some recent events and then get over these tumultuous events that are bothering me to help retain some personal sanity.  

Let me state a bias I have.  I do like our democratic form of government.  I know that it needs to be improved but that is probably also true with each of us.  I just recently came to realize that our nation just might slide to becoming a dictatorship and I will fight like hell to not let that happen.  Part of making this a better nation is to reflect what took place, analyze almost everything, improve what we can for the betterment of all, criticize when necessary and praise good deeds and results.

My second bias is I personally feel good when I can help another person or animal.  This is selfish of me for getting this reward but it seems to be good.  This and my other blog articles are, I guess, my selfish desire to do good for you.

Following is not in any order of importance:

  • President Donald Trump was more stupid and selfish  than most had realized.  If he had not incited the rioters to march to the capitol building as part of his speech January 6, 2021, he would not be the first president in our history to be impeached twice.  If he had just kept his mouth shut about marching, history’s trajectory for the United States would not have  bent so badly. 
  • A number of Republican congress men and women are not willing to protect the United States form of government, which someone should tell them should be a democracy.
  • The Republican Party is fractured, way less cohesive now than it appeared in 2020.  The party is on the brink of breaking apart.
  • The Republican Party was poorly administered.  They allowed a self centered, selfish leader of the party to run amuck.  There was no supervision that amounted to anything from Mitch McConnell and other party leaders to control Trump.  History books may well measure these events as profound failures of a party and some individuals.
  • The January 6, 2021, attack on Congress really revealed what maybe the most singular reason our nation is divided because white people feel they are being outnumbered leading to beliefs and resulting fears of loosing power and control leading to efforts to cement white supremacy into our nation.   
  • Quite a few Republicans utterly failed to respect whole blocks of citizens votes during the 2020 election in an effort to perform an illegal overturn of the citizens will.  Republicans need to understand that this country is owned and administered by the people through the process of voting.
  • A really shocking revelation, up to the revolt, is how close the United States had come to being a dictatorship and some of us see how easy it would be to make this actual transformation in the future.
  • The complicity of large media giants toward aiding the shift away from democracy and away from the truth  was shocking to witness.

Alternative media (U.S. political right)

  • The rather large number of really lousy ways that the American public get their facts was revealed.

Americans Who Mainly Get Their News on Social Media Are Less Engaged, Less Knowledgeable

  • The actual beliefs that some American citizens hold are utterly false.  These people fail to understand the process of deterring facts and the follow up process of arranging good honest beliefs in their minds.

Americans’ struggles with truth, accuracy and accountability

  • A number of media organizations and web sites are apparently propaganda vehicles serving up false claims and false views is way more than most people realized.
  • It is interesting to witness some children of some very important parents swing toward the good or bad side of things.
    • Keith Rupert Murdoch’s son, James Murdoch, rejects some of the FOX “NEWS” approaches.  
    • President Trump’s children seem to support their father’s views and way of doing things. 
  • It is very telling to see more friendliness and smiles for the people who work for President Biden than for Trump.
  • It is a refreshing shift to now see presidential policies for special interests businesses and groups be rejected and Biden do a fast turn toward to what is best for the whole nation.
  • The prior administration of Trump rejected science.  The Biden administration seems to embrace the truth from science and is making policy adjustments accordingly.
  • For some citizens, this government and how it operates does not work for them.  This might be one of the reasons Trump achieved a rather large following of voters.
  • The White House press briefings are way more polite, respectful ,and overall more civilized with the Biden administration than the Trump.
  • The Biden administration’s department head picks appear to be excellent, way better than Trump’s picks.
  • If we look backward to how we got here there is one rather powerful factor.  The “Supreme” Court decision in the Citizens United vs Federal Elections Commission which allowed big money to take rather silent influence and partial control of this nation and this seems to be at the root of some political corruption.  It seems rather far removed, for some, from the 2021 attack but the foundations of Democracy are being spoiled by big money corrosion.
  • Republican congress members avoid metal detectors.  One or more Republicans have carried guns into the House floor.
  • Each citizen’s attained level of education seems to be a factor for sustaining or thwarting the success or failure of our Democracy.

Trump corrupted the CDC.

Another rather shocking thing to witness, these past 4 years, was the number of President Trump boot lickers there were.

Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act pushed by Republicans and supported by Trump  is a $2.2 trillion economic stimulus bill passed by the 116th U.S. Congress and signed into law by President Donald Trump on March 27, 2020.  But, the Joint Committee on Taxation (JCT) shows a massive windfall for a small group of wealthy taxpayers from a Republican provision in the coronavirus relief bill.  According to the JCT, 43,000 individual tax filers covered by one of the provisions would see their tax liability fall by a combined $70.3 billion in 2020.  The JCT analysis shows nearly 82 percent of those who will benefit from that provision make $1 million or more, with 95 percent making over $200,000.   The provisions  all together will reduce government revenue by $160 billion over ten years.   This is just another reason some refer to the United States as a plutocracy, not a democracy.

Was the 2020 election fair?  An official website of the United States Government shows the following:

“The November 3rd election was the most secure in American history.”

Evidently, poor baby petulant Trump can not be seen by others and himself  is being a loser.  So he lies to his base made up of the most gullible citizens in our nation who seem attracted to the notion of following a dictator; this includes Republican lawmakers.  These people are utterly unable to figure out what the truth is if they ever cared for that.  They get their information from propagandized sources such as Fox “News” and a very long list of alleged fake news found at Wikipedia: List of fake news websites.

Even though the election was fair, President Trump and the GOP have tried to overturn the 2020 election results and failed in every case.  Their lawsuits were brought before over 50 judges that make rulings valued against the truth after Trump and the GOP failed in their fictions.  In Trump’s alleged self centered mind, he is never a failure and he will go to any effort to prove that fiction.  But history, based on truth, seems to record the actions of a failed presidency and Republican Party.  The very audacity of many Republican Party members to go along toward overturning the true and fair election results just puts forward another fact that that party has reached a new low:

And President Trump is the only president in history to have been impeached twice.  This all came about from lies, ego, authoritarianism and stupidity.  The United States needs better than this and start by valuing truth.
