DCCC E-Mail Apparently Flawed And No One To Report Too.

I received an e-mail from the DCCC with an interesting enticement.

“You could watch Bernie or Hillary accept the nomination IN PERSON!”

“You could be on your way to the convention to see our nominee! We’ll put you up in a hotel and buy your flight — so you just need to worry about who you’ll bring!”

I got hooked.  I tried following the steps but something wrong took place.  I decided to notify the DCCC about an apparent problem they might have.

Following is an e-mail I composed and then tried to send on to the DCCC.  I could not find a single workable e-mail address for the DCCC or any of its members.  I found names of candidates and DCCC members and they seem to be out of touch using e-mail from my application, Mac Mail.  The best it got was for me to fill in a web site message which I took to mean that no one would read it but they were farming my contact information.  I could not add images of the Firefox error using their web page mail.  So being a blogger, I decided to send the DCCC the e-mail right from this web page.  Here it is:

“Good going guys.  You do not seem to know how to put up a working web site.
I get an e-mail from this address: [email protected].  It shows an apparent campaign gimmick.
I click on  the words: FIRST: “Fill out a bracket and pick the Republicans you believe will win on Super Tuesday.   (See image below)”

I am directed to a web site which I can not share with you as it has my personal information inside that web address (which is weird)!  This may be a method for them to automate who is actually reading their sales advertisements.
What is shocking for me and why I wanted to let the DCCC know they apparently have a problem as follows.

“My Firefox notifies me that your web site is NOT SECURE!”  (See image below).

I decided to bail out of this DCCC sales pitch and NOT complete their process.

Using Privacy Badger, an extension that I installed into Firefox, I reported this problem after not being able to communicate directly with the DCCC.

“This will automatically send the following information to EFF: the site you’re currently visiting, your browser version, the version of Privacy Badger, and the state of all the sliders for this site.”

 

NOTE:  I found out that when I sent a donation to the DCCC, I then got a LOT of e-mail.  Many of these political sources do not allow you to unsubscribe.  I really recommend that you create a separate e-mail account for spammers to use.

I have owned my Garmin for years but one day the screen froze.  The watch only showed date and time but both failed to advance.  I went to the Internet to find a solution.  Each solution given required different buttons to be pressed at the same time.  Nothing worked.  Out of desperation I put the device back on the charger and started to press different button combinations.  What worked for me was to press all four buttons at the same time while it was being charged.  The frozen date time disappeared and “Garmin” splashed on the screen followed by the battery charge image.

One Of Many Republican Conundrums – Appointment Of A Supreme Court Justice

The Republican Party has a lot of nasty issues facing it at the beginning of 2016, most brought upon itself.  The issue I wish to address is an apparent conundrum which now allows President Obama to recommend a “Supreme Court” justice to fill the vacancy left by the death of Justice Antonin Scalia.  The Republican leadership obviously wants their specific choice for oligarch boot licker to be sitting in that court and not one appointed by a Democrat.  For the more intelligent but rather small Republican strategists it might occur that if they thwart Obama from making his choice a lot of Democrats and independents might drift toward voting for a Democrat president, in the next presidential election, in the hopes of thwart the “Supreme Court”, the US Senate, and the House of Representatives from obtaining a Republican majority.  This nation really needs a balance of power and not a dictatorship.  The problem for the Republican strategists is which is more important to them and their oligarch masters?  Do they allow President Obama to make his appointment so as to pacify voters on the fence or do they stop any Democrat appointments to the Supreme Court in the hopes that a Republican president gets in office and then they can pick the next “Supreme Court justice?  My bet is that they will try to put a toady into the “Supreme Court” as soon as possible because if they are successful  that results in a longer term trajectory of pleasing the oligarch class.  What is interesting is if the Republicans miscalculate and attempt to put in their lickspittle and fail in this attempt and the American public witness this charade then they might piss off the American public and loose the presidential election.  Then, the next president might very well slide in much more progressive Supreme Court candidate because he or she will have four years to accomplish this appointment and not just nine months for President Obama.  The progressives, who have been amazingly asleep about the importance of a balanced “Supreme Court” hopefully will now take strong measures to appoint one of their choices and less likely try to accommodate the Republicans.

A women working at a Starbucks told me that her son was having problems with math.  I said I would try to find a book for her son that might help.   I did find a number of Internet book recommendations but none of the local used book stores or new book sellers had the books I was looking for.  My wife wanted to go to Barnes and Noble Book Store and I took that opportunity to look for what they had in stock.  They only had one book in the kids section which seemed to have good reviews and I purchased it.  I then went into the adult math book section and by chance found an astonishing math book called “Help Your Kids With Math“.    When I was very young my parents purchased an electronic theory book set that instructed the reader mainly with pictures.  Those books helped me become self taught in electronics.  I had never seen a math book teaching the reader by using images like this book.  Even though this book says it is aimed at teaching kids, I bought me a copy.  A few days later I purchased another copy for the Starbucks barista’s son.  I slipped in a letter to this by which I will show you below:

Dear xxxxx,

Your mom told me you are having difficulty in math.  I am giving you this book in the hope it helps you comprehend math in a new visual way.  Some tricks I have learned about problem solving I will now share with you.  First, do not give up.  Second, walk around the problem to view it from a different perspective.  Third, try to understand the problem using different methods.  Fourth, when facing a near impossible problem, turn it into a challenge, a contest.

Some times just going to school and listening to a teacher and reading a school text book will fail you.  Some times you need to seek out a different method if you are not understanding the material.

I am giving you this book because it offers you all of these solutions.  This book shows you all of math visually.  The book should look scary to you beyond the first few chapters.  This is because it shows you the whole math path and you are at its beginning.  Use it as a reference book.  It should help you all your life to “see” math relationships.  I have never seen this method used for math before.  I am really impressed with this book.   I have my own copy.

Why study math?  Math is a language; it is a method; it is a tool; it is a long struggle; it is tough to learn and it offers wonderful rewards when you understand it.  Because it is tough to learn, it can determine how successful you might be in some professions and how much money you will make.  For example, if you can comprehend trigonometry, you can better become a computer game designer.  If you pass calculus you can get a degree in business, engineering and science making $50,000 to $100,000 or more.  If you go further and become an actuary, you should make $150,000 to $250,000 a year.

As you can see, the math path has more rewards the further you can travel its length.  I do hope this book helps you get further.   Please remember not to give up.

I made the mistake of telling the gym trainer guru, Hans Hoeller, that I had dropped my leg press weights down to 130 pounds.  He asked me how much I weigh and I told him 165 pounds.  He then told me that my legs probably weigh 10 pounds each, below the knee,
which left 125 pounds for me to lift my body off a toilet.  I got the message.  I am now doing 150 pound leg press with 10 reps followed by 190 pound leg press with 10 reps and finishing with 200 pound leg press weights with 10 reps.  Because I am working to improve my fast twitch muscles, I wait about 1 to 2 minutes between sets.  I had no clue that there were fast and slow twitch muscle fibers until I learned this from Hans.

The Murder Of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.

January 2, 2016 the Saudi Government executed a very prominent Shiite cleric Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr.  From my research it seems this cleric only offense was verbal opposition to the Saudi government and for this he was killed.   The Saudi Arabia is ruled now by a young “royal” family member who from his behavior should have been put back into a crib.

So if one uses the “wrong” words in Saudi Arabia the punishment is to be killed?  How utterly retarded to the point of being brain dead because words should not meet death in a civilized country but it would seem that Saudi Arabia is an uncivilized nation.  A true civilized concept is to show concern for others but there seems to be a rather broad pattern in the Arab world where this is not practiced.   Bashar Hafez al-Assad, dictator of Syria, is the poster pig for the view that it is my family first and foremost.  A conclusion might be drawn that the current pig in charge of Saudi Arabia appears also to be an unsophisticated idiot.  And what about the lemmings that carried out this despicable act?   They are no better for their blind obedience to a stupid degenerate leader.  I find it amazing that country administrators  will follow such obvious criminal orders.

It is despicable, even criminal that this man would be put to death for voicing his opinion.  But we in the more civilized world have come to expect such barbarian behavior from pig headed Arab amateur leaders who follow the pig like behavior of only looking for self interests first and forever.  They all seem to lack classical virtue, that being to sacrifice one’s personal and private interests for the greater good of the nation.  They think they own the county and appear to give little concern for the real owners – the people.

Iran used the death of Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr to try and gain some political capitol.  The similarities shared by the Saudi Arabian and Iranian leadership appears to be strikingly similar. Each separate country leadership demands blind obedience and if you do not comply, you can expect dire consequences such as jail, beatings, torture and death.  It is comical hypocrisy that Iran should take offense to the killing of  Sheikh Nimr al-Nimr as this is a common method typical of almost all Arab leaders to squash any opposition.  The utter lack of government leadership and individual intellect exhibited within the Arab nations is one of the major reasons these nations are so lagging now and into the future.
