VOTE And Save This Country!

The next election comes down to some simple national issues for voters to understand. Voters cast their ballots to further their own interests which is understandable and is an aspect of the democratic process. You should vote for what you think is best for yourself, your family, your community and the county.

Problem is, that a Republican party has found mechanisms to work the system to the advantage of their real, somewhat private constituents, which is not you even though you might vote Republican. The real rulers of the Republican party are corporations and the rich. You are just a pawn under their control. The rich may be smart in business but not in politics. They have the money to pay consultants that can plan ways to enrich their clients. The wealthy pay people that devise ways to game the system at your loss. You are at a significant disadvantage to gain from this alleged corrupt system and most often you will loose.

The Republican Party followers are three basic groups, the rich, the single issue voter and the less idealist that believes in less government (Libertarianism). This article will not cover the idealist group because they believe “less is best” and that belief does not factor into this argument too much. This argument is basically focused on “my survival interests must prevail”.

Money gains power. Corporations, and the wealthy have way more money to fund the Republican party than the lower class single issue Republican voter. They are so wealthy that to pay lots of money to support a political party and candidates is a very small investment to ensure they get what they want. The wealthy have even found ways to put money into non-profit organizations and use this mechanism to not pay taxes.

Lets list some popular single issues:

  • Gun control
  • Abortion
  • Environment
  • Taxation
  • Illegal immigration
  • Animal rights
  • Labor union rights
  • Strong national defense

The Republican Party embraces some single issues to attract the lower classes to gain votes for their issues.

The Republican Party endorses the following (a partial list):

  • Deny gun control. The National Rifle Association is a lobby for gun manufacturers which wants unrestricted gun sales.
  • Fight environment controls because this is costly for business.
  • Try to diminish unions because unions deny unrestricted corporate control.
  • Support strong national defense because the United States arms manufacturers is a big powerful segment of our nation’s manufacturing and they are a powerful lobby.
  • An unborn child has an individual right to life and that abortion should be ended entirely.  This is a religious issue but the separation of church and state is seldom honored.
  • Against same sex marriage.
  • Immigration.  President Trump wants to build a wall to stop all immigration.  This is a white male fear or concern that they will loose status as more immigrants enter this country.

The real power is held by the wealthy because they fund candidates way more than any other group. The party tries to deliver to both groups, wealthy and lower class, as best as it can but the corporate and wealthy interests always win out. The Republican party tries to explain away contradictions, when they occur, in obtuse language and lies.

The less wealthy voter who thinks their single issue is very important fails to realize that that the wealthy class will move to push forward their agenda secretly which may hurt the less wealthy.  The recent tax cut is a perfect case which lowers the tax on the wealthy which caused the national debt to increase and then the Republicans said they have to fix this debt problem by hurting the less wealthy by cutting back on Medicare and Social Security, a perfect example of corruption.

Here are some of the ploys that the Republicans use to advance their wealthy clients positions:

  • Get rid of health care. (To help the national debt which the Republicans created.)
  • Get rid of Social Security (To help the national debt which the Republicans created)
  • Lower the tax on the rich and make the middle class and lower class pay for it. (Stupid trickle down theory that does not work.)
  • Do not limit gun sales.
  • Cut back on pollution laws so corporations do not have to pay money to comply.
  • Republicans claim global warming is a hoax which is a lie.
  • Do nothing to stop climate damage so as to lesson corporate costs.  (Strong risk of crisis as early as 2014)

The single issue voter unknowingly, hurts himself and herself and the rest of the citizens of this county by casting ballots that enrich corporations and the wealthy. This is just one more factor for creating divisions because there are voters that understand this manipulation scheme that the Republicans use and are resentful against the single issue voter for not understanding that they may be voting for way less important issues.

The Republican, who is attracted to that party for single issue reasons, such as abortion, gun rights, immigration may be played for a fool. The Republican Party really stands for corporate and wealthy interests. The party embraces single issues as a ploy, such as gun rights, immigration to gain followers to push what the party is really interested in which is to help the wealthy to keep their wealth and power.

The Republican Party also uses undemocratic methods to maintain power:

  • Voter Suppression = Impede voting of minorities that typically support Democratic candidates.
  • Gerrymandering (both parties do this)
  • Citizens United “Supreme” Court decision ensures the wealthy can spend huge amounts of money to maintain power.
  • Populating the “Supreme” Court with political agenda judges. Five out of nine current judges are considered Republican.
  • The rule that each state will have two senators, ensures that states with low populations, typically Republican, will create over time an even larger tyranny of the minority.
  • Republicans do not favor spending any more money on election security.
  • Republicans allegedly allow and embrace foreign help to attack Democrats.
  • Republicans want a stupid electorate

Concern and care for others does not seem to be the Republican way.  You are being played. You are being manipulated. You are going to loose more and more unless you wake up and cut the strings between you and your wealthy masters.

VOTE, and by doing so, save this county!

This review is going to be very short.

Goodyear wipers are simply awful to install.  I had to view a YouTube video to get half the job done which required using a screw driver to force two parts to separate.  I then had a near impossible time sliding on the small plastic part that fits into the hook.  The design of this product is simply awful.  Not Recommended.

If you are stuck with these Goodyear retarded blades, I recommend you view this YouTube video.  Problem for me is this video is incomplete and only showed half the process.

Michelin wipers are very simple to install.  Strongly Recommended.

There are other wiper blades available.  A review of the best can be found at Best Windshield Blades.

This blog has used, for years, the name for the United States ‘Supreme’ Court by putting the word supreme in quotes indicating that it is not supreme because it favors the rich and powerful over the common people.  It has not been the people’s court for a very long time and the situation is getting worse.  If Brett Kavanaugh is appointed to the court then this blog will change the naming of that court to Supreme Plutocracy Court to reflect it’s actual purpose which is to serve the wishes of the rich and not the needs of the citizens.

Plutocracy definition: government by the wealthy.

The “Supreme” Court is being stacked with appointments by the oligarch loving Republican Party. “The Republican Party gets much of its money from the extremely rich who stand to benefit from drastic reduction in government regulations and taxes.”

The Federalist Society “has evolved into the de facto gatekeeper for right-of-center lawyers aspiring to government jobs and federal judgeships under Republican presidents.”

The Federalist Society who vetted these right wing “Supreme” Court justices claims to follow the original intent of the U.S. Constitution but the pattern that follows is a disregard for maintaining our former Democracy and sliding it into a plutocracy. This is because the “Supreme” Court now favors business interests over the collective interests of the people.

The Federalist Society has a long list of Supreme Court members and with it expect diminished collective rights:

  • John Glover Roberts Jr.
  • Antonin Gregory Scalia (died)
  • Samuel Anthony Alito Jr.
  • Clarence Thomas
  • Neil Gorsuch

Trumps’ first “Supreme” Court appointment: Neil Gorsuch

Alphonse Maddin was driving a trailer truck in Illinois, January 2009. The outside temperature was 14 degrees below zero. The brakes on his rig failed. He called the company to send out help. He waited in an unheated cab for hours but no help arrived. He unhitched his trailer and drove to safety. The truck company had a rule that any driver who leaves his load unattended gets fired. Mr. Maddin had a choice to make, freeze to death or lose his job. He lost his job as a result of seeking safety. He appealed his firing to the Labor Department. Six judges decided he should not be fired. The only judge who disagreed was Neil Gorsuch.

Trump’s second “Supreme” Court appointment: Brett Kavanaugh

Brett Kavanaugh appears to favor the interests of large corporations over the interests of the common man and women. He appears to not support the definition of democracy, the interests of the whole population over the interests of large corporations.  This fact can be found in his decision against net neutrality where he stated that net neutrality regulations were unlawful and infringes on the Internet service providers.

Notice the pattern from Neil Gorsuch and Brett Kavanaugh? Both men appear to favor business interests over the common man.

Plutocracy: A plutocracy or plutarchy is a society that is ruled or controlled by people of great wealth or income.

Democracy:  a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

Net neutrality is the principle that Internet service providers treat all data on the Internet equally, and not discriminate or charge differently.

Democracy is a system of government by the whole population or all the eligible members of a state, typically through elected representatives.

The United States is not a Democracy. Brett Kavanaugh appointment to the “supreme” court would further the United States move away from the rule of all the people.

  • How Brett Kavanaugh would shift the Supreme Court to the right

  • President Trump’s pick to replace Anthony Kennedy will lead to a much more conservative Court.

I recommend that you watch Michael Moore on the Democracy Now show. The episode of particular interest for you to consider  is Michael Moore vs. Donald Trump in “Fahrenheit 11/9”: New Film Warns Our Democracy Is At Risk

Here is the part that Mr. Moore really clarified the current  situation facing this country:

Trump is the result of decades, decades of us allowing this country to go down a road that had very little to do with democracy and equal rights and what was fair, and very much toward letting the rich, letting corporate America, Wall Street run the show and call the shots.

So, when I say, for instance, that Donald Trump doesn’t care much about democracy and is trying to whittle away whatever he can of what we call our democracy, that’s really, to be fair to him, not really unusual. He’s a CEO. He’s a billionaire. Generally CEOs don’t run their businesses like democracies. They don’t like democracy. That’s not how they live. It’s not how they run their business. And as billionaires, they want to grab as much of the pie for themselves as possible. So they’re not into everybody having a slice of the pie or a fair slice of the pie or a seat at the table. So, he’s really just acting like most people of his class.

You know, I mean, I’ve got to believe if you’re a billionaire, you’ve got to really hate a system that says it’s one person, one vote. Because if we really are one person, one vote, that means there’s 325 million of us and probably less than a thousand of them. Imagine if you were on the other side, if you were one of them. That doesn’t look very good, because it means that 325 million can just suddenly pass laws and tell you what to do.

So the basic concept of our democracy is that, but they know that they’ve been able to run that show because they’ve bought it. They buy the politicians, they buy the elections, and they have most working people in such a box that they know that if they were to protest, if they were to speak out, if they were to whistle-blow, that would be the end of their income.

And starting with Bill Clinton, we began eliminating the safety net when you don’t have an income. And so, we’re now at the point where they’ve got those 325 million right where they want them—scared that they aren’t going to be able to pay next month’s bills. Best statistic I saw recently—maybe you saw it—that the majority of Americans, almost 67 percent, do not have enough money in the bank or in their pocket to, if a loved one passed away tonight, and they lived here in New York, and the loved one was in California, they don’t have the money for the plane ticket to go to California. In other words, they don’t have—the majority of Americans don’t have $400 to $500 available in any form to them at any moment.

That’s the America we live in, and boy, does the billionaire class love that, because that’s when you’ve got them. You don’t ever think about, when you’re in that situation, of complaining about what’s going on, starting a union or taking the day off to go to the funeral of a loved one.
