AAA Battery Roadside Service Is Shockingly Impressive.

AAA Battery Roadside Service Is Shockingly Impressive.

Our family has AAA Roadside Service (California) and I call their number (800-AAA-HELP). They can get a person out within 30 minutes, I was told. The battery cost is just over $100 and the service call is included in us paying for AAA roadside service. The whole process is completed within the time they told me the service technician would arrive, 30 minutes. I was shocked at how fast this whole repair process took.

Kayak DD Video Switcher Goes Down While I Watch It Happen.

Kayak DD Video Switcher Goes Down While I Watch It Happen.

I am at the end of my Monday proof of a million dollar TV studio and control room.  I run into snags every week and today is not any better.  Here are some examples for this day:  I can’t get the Deko character generator computer to turn on until I go through a special power up process.  It finally does power up very clean.  Camera one is divorced from the camera control unit because someone turned camera control lock off…

Mole Richardson Type 407, Baby Solar Spot, Lighting Bulb Refuses To Come Out

Customer complaint:  Can not remove the light bulb out of a Mole Richardson Baby Solar Spot.  It appears to be stuck. Solution:   I tried to remove the bulb by wedging a straight blade screwdriver between the socket and porcelain bulb base.  The bulb was locked into the socket.  I called Mole Richardson and explained this problem to them.  I was told that some times the bulb contacts become pitted and make bulb removal difficult.  I would have to disassemble the…

I was later to find out that…

Perfect Your TV Viewing

Perfect Your TV Viewing

This article is only directed toward individuals that own pretty good DVD players and flat screen displays using HDMI cables. One of my jobs is to perform technical support for a state university department.  I was asked to solve a problem with a large screen TV set in a department’s class room used to show movies.  The complaint was that the TV screen looked pink.  My research came up with a couple of DVD test disks.  I was able to…

Removal Piston Assembly From Pac Fab 2″ PVC Backwash Valve

Removal Piston Assembly From Pac Fab 2″ PVC Backwash Valve

Most home pool systems have a backwash valve that allows the owner to send pool water through the filter, typically diatomaceous earth, to rather quickly and cheaply clean the filter.  I encountered a major problem with our backwash valve.  I could not make it function properly.  It would not slide the plastic handle completely down and thus I sent a small stream of water out of the pool when the pool pump was running.  When I tried to take the…
