Parachute Electorate
Some of the United States electorate parachute in with a view or belief and then as quickly leave the continuum of discussion and intellectual discovery. These individuals hold a particular political or social viewpoint that upon further examination they spout from hearing friends views or hear a talk show or read an article in a newspaper or magazine with little or no tie to real facts.
