Wine Review: Black Mountain, 2009, Pinot Noir, Haro Hills

Wine Review: Black Mountain, 2009, Pinot Noir, Haro Hills

I was very surprised when I first took a sip of this wine. It shows character, not dull, very interesting, sort of like talking to someone from Chicago, just a bit brassy. In fact you just might start up a conversation with your wine glass. I score this wine a solid B. I asked my wife to go out and buy another bottle and I seldom make that request.

Wine Review: Renditon 2009, Zinfandel

Wine Review: Renditon 2009, Zinfandel

We recently sampled a Rendition 2009, Alexander Valley Zinfandel.  The flavor seemed on par with what I expect paint remover to taste.  It was very harsh, totally lacking any subtly and any detectable positive flavor.  There was absolutely no enjoyment from sipping this backward off “wine”.  Two Buck Chuck is a step up from this rasp drippings.

I just love to make a personal discovery of a singer that I have never heard of before and measure how much I like the music or not.  An Austrian acquaintance suggested that I listen to the music of Anna Friedberg (real name is Anna Wappel) who lives in Austria.  Her stage name is Anna F.  Wikipedia article on her shows a singer that seems committed to her craft as she has been rising in popularity and won awards.  iTunes…

Nena – Made In Germany

For me, German music just did not exist except my once a year visit to a very large German restaurant during Oktoberfest and listening to German bands perform beer hall music during that event.  Then one day, late May, 2001, I asked my daughter who sang the “99 Luftballons” song and she said it was Nena.  I had never heard of Nena as a name to recognize.  I next used iTunes to locate this performer and found some Nena  albums. …

Dancing With Magazines and Newspapers.

It all started when I was offered a year’s subscription to the Wall Street Journal for one year, an introductory rate.  The cost seemed most reasonable, just over one hundred dollars.  I said yes but after one year the cost more than doubled.   I quickly canceled when the rate went up.  In about three months, I get a call offering me the introductory rate again for one year.  I said yes but had to also say yes to auto renewal. …

I purchased a cell phone application.  I had to remove my cell phone cover to reveal the model number to specify the correct software.   Upon placing the cover back on, I noticed that a second software was selected as as a future purchase.  I tried hit the…

We do NOT recommend anyone doing business with this company until we get clarification as to their actions. April 15, 2011 a purchase was made of 3.4 OZ of Clairborne Mambo for Men.  The purchase was made through Amazon.com web site.  One would think any vendor that Amazon lists might be able to handle this transaction.
